The next Liberatum global multidisciplinary cultural festival and world summit will be held in Brazil this November featuring some of the greatest creative minds from around the world. Salvador, the capital of Bahia, will host this prestigious Liberatum international celebration from 3-5 November 2023.

Liberatum Brasil will be an international platform to champion equality, diversity and inclusion, and a landmark multidimensional event to provide a vital source of inspiration to audiences.

Expanding upon Liberatum’s rich history of building significant multidisciplinary programmes worldwide with iconic talents and visionaries, Liberatum Brasil promises to be a world class festival of culture, consciousness and creativity to empower communities with an important spotlight on Afro-Brazilian cultural contribution, Black Culture and Global Changemakers. The festival will be open to the public completely free of charge.

Bahia is Brazil’s most African state, with more than three quarters of its 15 million inhabitants tracing their roots back to Africa. Salvador, its capital city, has the largest population of African-descent in the world outside of the African continent. Over 80% of the population of Salvador is from an African background.

Some of the greatest international cultural voices of our time will collaborate with their Brazilian, and in particular Afro-Brazilian, counterparts for an original, eclectic and a wide-ranging programme of the highest standard to be held in several venues throughout the spectacular city of Salvador to benefit society.

Established in 2001, the mission of Liberatum is to present worldwide audiences with remarkable artistic programmes of the highest calibre featuring world-renowned cultural powerhouses, pioneers and changemakers as participants to promote social change, freedom of expression and raise consciousness about important issues affecting humanity. Liberatum’s past participants, guests, honourees, recipients and collaborators for its impactful programmes worldwide have included Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Nicole Kidman, Will Smith, Cher, Gore Vidal, Dame Zaha Hadid, Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Pelé, Hilary Swank, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Tilda Swinton, Michael Douglas, Frank Gehry , David Hockney, Nobel Laureate Tawakkol Karman, Nobel Laureate Sir VS Naipaul, Francis Ford Coppola, Zoe Saldana and Pharrell Williams to name but a few.

O próximo festival global multidisciplinar de diplomacia cultural Liberatum e cúpula mundial será realizado no Brasil em novembro deste ano, com destaque especial na contribuição cultural afro-brasileira. Liberatum Brasil apresentará mentes criativas de grande impacto ao redor do mundo. Salvador, a capital da Bahia, sediará a primeira edição brasileira desta celebração internacional do Liberatum de 3 a 5 de novembro de 2023.

Liberatum Brasil será uma plataforma internacional para defender igualdade, diversidade e inclusão, e um evento multidimensional marcante para fornecer uma fonte vital de inspiração para o público. Expandindo a rica história da Liberatum na construção de programas multidisciplinares significativos em todo o mundo com talentos e visionários icônicos, a Liberatum Brasil promete ser um festival de cultura, consciência e criatividade de classe mundial para inspirar comunidades com foco especial na cultura negra. O festival será aberto ao público de forma totalmente gratuita.

A Bahia é o estado mais negro do Brasil, com mais de três quartos de seus mais de 14 milhões de habitantes tendo suas raízes na África. Salvador, sua capital, tem a maior população afrodescendente do mundo fora do continente africano. Mais de 80% da população de Salvador é de origem africana. Algumas das maiores vozes culturais internacionais do nosso tempo colaborarão com seus homólogos brasileiros, e em particular afro-brasileiros, para um programa original, eclético e abrangente de alto padrão a ser realizado em vários locais da espetacular cidade de Salvador com o intuito de beneficiar a sociedade. O line-up completo e a programação artística do Liberatum Brasil serão revelados nos próximos dois meses.

Edições anteriores do Festival Liberatum Global, cúpulas e outros eventos especiais aconteceram em Hong Kong, Estados Unidos, Papua-Nova Guiné, Reino Unido, Marrocos, Itália, Turquia, México, Espanha, Índia, França, entre outros. Fundada em 2001, a missão da Liberatum é apresentar ao público mundial programas artísticos notáveis do mais alto calibre, apresentando visionários culturais, pioneiros e agentes de mudança como participantes para promover mudanças sociais, liberdade de expressão e aumentar a conscientização sobre questões importantes que afetam a humanidade.
